Nichole Burnett is our venue director here at Havasu Springs Resort. She stays highly involved overseeing the venue operations alongside her fabulous event team. Nichole is also the owner and lead wedding planner and designer of Posh Planning & Event Co. She graduated from The University Of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Needless to say she craved more creativity and was tired of the usual 9-5pm grind. Nichole and her husband, Michael, were the first couple to get married at The Pointe and it gave her the opportunity to be an integral part of the wedding venue alongside her mother-in-law and co-owner, Melanie Burnett. Fast forward to almost a decade and hundreds of weddings later, together with their talented and professional event team, Melanie and Nichole still find passion and joy in creating beautiful weddings.
Melanie Burnett AIFD, CFD, AzMF with Meraki Botanical Designs is our exclusive floral designer and one of our venue owners. The details of both The Pointe and The Harbor Room were carefully thought out in the planning phase to ensure that the possibilities for wedding florals are endless. As a floral designer, Melanie prides herself on staying up with the trends and her education within the floral industry. She can make just about any floral design come to life. When Melanie isn’t designing beautiful bouquets and captivating centerpieces, you can find her hanging out with her best friend, her granddaughter Leighton, or enjoying a nice glass of chardonnay with her pups!
Norm Nowak is our food and beverage director and has been with The Springs Dining as the general manager since 2007, but has worked in the food and beverage industry since 1975–so he certainly knows a thing or two about how to feed a crowd. Norm will join you for your complimentary food and beverage tasting for up to 6 people, where he will help you customize your wedding menu and help plan to feed the whole crew for your rehearsal dinner, pre-ceremony luncheon, or post-wedding brunch too. Norm also ensures that your event is adequately staffed with servers of only the highest caliber! He will ensure that any leftover food can be enjoyed even after the party is over to fight those day after wedding scaries. (Fun fact, Norm likes to ensure as little food goes to waste as possible, so he will save meat scraps to make high quality, homemade dog food for his pups, Chloe and Bogey.)
Alyssa Privett works as both a venue coordinator for Havasu Springs Resort and wedding coordinator for Posh Planning & Event Co. With her degree in Studio Art from the University of Arizona, she employs creativity and organization in all that she does. When working for the resort as a venue coordinator, she aids in the construction and execution of floor plans, prepares all linens, and ensures that the venue provides everything promised for the day-of! When Alyssa works as a wedding coordinator, she facilitates the wedding planning process through timeline creation and ample correspondence, always with the best interest of the couple in mind.
